Hello! This is Nadia and Chloe Gerbasi, and we are beyond excited to announce that this year we are taking part in the “Students of the Year” campaign for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society! This campaign entails seven weeks of fundraising beginning on January 29th and ending on March 19th. All of the proceeds we will have raised will be going towards the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for blood cancer research. This campaign is a way students can engage in healthy competition along with coming together and working hard to achieve the common goal of a cancer-free world. 

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society began in the 1960’s and is now the largest nonprofit funder of cutting edge blood cancer research. They have helped advance 85% of the blood cancer treatment options approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration since 2017. Just last year all of the teams combined for Students of the Year raised just under one million dollars, and we are so incredibly honored to be a part of helping such an amazing organization.

Unfortunately, cancer has reached our family many times throughout our lives. Between losing family friends and relatives, we have seen the effects of the disease first hand time and time again. It has harmed and taken away from so many people we both love, and it has had devastating effects on so many others as well. We are hoping that through the team efforts of this fundraising opportunity, we will help to find a cure for Leukemia Lymphoma, holding the potential to change the lives of so many.

Help us win this fight against blood cancer. All and any donations would be greatly appreciated, and remember to keep your eyes out for upcoming fundraisers we plan to hold in the near future. When they do come along, please spread the word in publicizing our mission. We know that the more people we can get involved in our efforts, the more of an impact we can create, so we will take any help we can get!
