Aditi's Students of the Year Fundraiser
Friends and Family,
It is an honor to announce my participation in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2022 “Students of the Year” fundraising campaign! Students of the Year is a student-led, seven-week fundraiser in which students compete to help raise funds to find a cure for blood cancer.
Founded in 1949, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is the largest charity that funds finding a cure for blood cancers. Survival rates have been constantly growing since the 1960’s. But still every 3 minutes another person joins the battle. LLS has invested more than $1 billion to advance cancer therapies and save lives. They provide free information for families and makes the process of treatment and dealing with blood cancer so much easier. LLS has even began supporting therapies that not only are to help blood cancer patients but also patients with rare autoimmune diseases. Being apart of this years “Students of the Year” campaign is very important. We are all contributing to finding a cure for cancer. Not only that but also providing comfort for thousands of families.
Fortunately, cancer has not directly affected me, however, it has touched the lives of my friends.
A teacher at the Harmon Middle School, located in Aurora, recently has been struggling with cancer. Although I did not know him personally, the rest of my classmates have been in full support of him, raising money and sending him love. We helped his family through the LLS organization which is why I am so grateful for this opportunity. It gives me a chance to show my support for him and others who are fighting cancer.
With your help, we can make a difference and be apart of changing someone’s life. If you would like to make an online donation you may donate using this fundraising page. Or if you wish to donate through the mail, please make your check payable to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society using the enclosed, pre-addressed envelope. Please print our team name, “Team Impact”, in the memo section. *Your donations are tax-deductible. All donations are appreciated and will help so much, a little does go a long way. Please help us put an end to blood cancer!
Sincerely,
Aditi Sanghavi and Team Impact
Aditi's Students of the Year Fundraiser
I have signed up to save lives with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and am working to raise as much as possible over the next 7 weeks. Every dollar raised counts as one vote for my campaign. The candidate(s) whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year. Will you help me earn that title?
As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.
Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!
All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. They'll not only support LLS research, but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.
Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support! For more information about LLS, please visit www.lls.org
