Team Victory in the Ville
Hi Everyone,
Thank you so much for coming to our page! We are truly blessed and beyond thankful for every single penny we raise to help for the fight against cancer. We are truly passionate about the mission of LLS, and all of us knowing first-hand the effects that cancer has on someone, we don't want to have to see anyone else go through that terrible journey.
You can support Team Victory in the Ville in a multitude of ways:
-Personal donation: Scroll to the top of the page and click on the left(computer) or scroll to the top of the page on a mobile device, you may enter an amount to donate here and then follow the prompts to complete the donation.
-Victory Tuesday's: A play off of our team name - Team Victory in The Ville. Most Tuesdays during the 7 weeks of the campaign (January 9-February 27) there will be a dine to donate night at different Strongsville restaurants. We’ll post the restaurant flyer the weekend prior to each dine to donate, which will need to be shown to the cashier or mention us at checkout in order for a percentage of sales to benefit Team Victory in The Ville. We are so excited and can’t wait to see everyone there! (All places offer carry out orders to still benefit us. Please be sure to mention either LLS or Team Victory in The Ville at checkout!) Meet Max Prok!
Hi! My name is Max Prok and I am a senior at Strongsville High School! I am on various clubs including Student Council, editor for the SHS yearbook, leadership academy, D.A.R.E. Role model and DECA. I also am very involved in my church community, including being the President of the youth group, GOYA(Greek Orthodox Youth Association).
When I was nominated to be a candidate for this years Students of The Year campaign, I wanted to be apart of it because the mission to cure cancer and put it in the history books is one of my all-time goals in life, and I’m beyond excited to start contributing to the end of cancer. Cancer hit home in my family and it allowed me to realize exactly what it does to someone, both mentally and physically. Anyway that I can contribute to someone not having to go through treatments and the mental toll of cancer, I’m all in for. I truly am honored and humbled to be apart of this years Students of The Year campaign and I cannot wait to see what our team, Victory in The Ville can do!

Meet Emma Platten!
Hi my name is Emma Platten! I am a senior at Strongsville high school. I am on the Varsity Football and Basketball Cheerleading squads and the Lacrosse team. I am also involved in many clubs such as National Honor Society, Student Council, Leadership Academy, Science Club, French Club, Dance Marathon, Zen Club, Art Club, DARE Role Models, New Student Buddy Lunch and the Junior Volunteer Team at Southwest Hospital.
I chose to be a part of LLS’s Students of the Year campaign because I would like to help change the future of cancer while I am fortunate and healthy. I am so excited to help raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and to be representing Strongsville’s Victory in the Ville!
Let’s help kick cancers butt!💪❤️

Meet Julia Spicer!

Hi! My name is Julia Spicer and I am a senior at Strongsville High School! I am on the Varsity Cheerleading, Gymnastics and Lacrosse teams. I am also involved in many clubs such as National Honor Society, National Technology Honor Society, Social Group Volunteer, and Rho Kappa.
I wanted to be a part of this year’s Students of the Year campaign because I witnessed my cousin, Luke, battle Leukemia at the age of 5. During his fight, I watch the physical, emotional and financial hardships battling Leukemia had on a family. I am honored to be a part of this year’s campaign to help raise funds that will go toward creating a world without cancer. I am proud to be a co-candidate for Victory in the Ville!

Team's Students of the Year Fundraiser
As a global leader in the fight to end cancer, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is committed to doing more for blood cancer patients and families than any organization in the world. Our signature and innovative fundraising campaigns like Students of the Year drive critical support for their mission – to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, myeloma and improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
Students of the Year is a seven-week fundraising program for high school students, like myself, in the Greater Cleveland area. Over the next few weeks, I will be raising critical dollars in honor of two local blood cancer survivors, Tim and Colin.
Every dollar raised equals one vote. The team that raises the most funds receives the title Student(s) of the Year.
I believe that beating cancer is in our blood. Cancer is a bully, but I am not afraid to stand up and fight. I invite you to stand with me and join the fight!
By donating, you support the many facets of their mission work from investing in groundbreaking research, providing education and support to patients, and advocating at the state and federal level for legislation to help those living with cancer. Together, we have the power, the passion and the resolve to achieve a world without blood cancer. All donations are tax-deductible.
On behalf of blood cancer patients and their families everywhere, we sincerely thank you for your generous support!
