We are so excited to participate in LLS this year! In the fight to end cancer, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is committed to doing more for blood cancer patients and families than any organization in the world.  Students of the Year is a fundraising campaign that raises money in hopes to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, myeloma and improve the quality of life for patients and their families.

Our team , Solon Cancer Crushers, is determined to get one step closer to finding a cure. With your help we can reach our goal of $15,000!

Students of the Year is a seven-week fundraising program for high school students in the Greater Cleveland area. Over the next few weeks, we will be raising money in honor of two local blood cancer survivors, Tim and Colin.

As well as Tim and Colin, we have two main inspirations for our team. One of our candidates cousin, Kara Lustig. Kara was diagnosed with Leukemia back in 2015 and is now a survivor. Our second inspiration is one of our team members brother, Vince Miozzi. Vince was diagnosed with Leukemia when he was 13 years old, he didn't let cancer get to him and kicked cancers butt.

We're happy to say we have our own hero on our team, Luke Miozzi. The second time his brother, Vince, was diagnosed with leukemia he needed a bone marrow transplant. Luckily, Luke was a perfect match. We are happy to announce the transplant was successful. Now, Luke inspires us to help people like Vince to get the resources they need.
