Ava's Students of the Year Fundraiser
Hello Friends and Family,
Welcome to my fundraising page! I am excited to announce that I was chosen by my colleagues to take part in this year's Students of the Year campaign. The fundraising will begin on January 9th, and end on February 27th. My team is striving to reach our stretch goal of $20,000 this year, and we need your help. Please consider making a donation to my page to help fund vital research for Leukemia and Lymphoma. If you have any questions feel free to email me at avasrk@icloud.com!
Thank you!!
Ava
Information
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is committed to doing more for blood cancer patients and families than any organization in the world. Our signature and innovative fundraising campaigns like Students of the Year drive critical support for their mission – to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, myeloma and improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
LLS has been working to raise money since 1949. Today, they have invested nearly $1.3 billion dollars to advance cancer research. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has also played a significant role in pioneering today’s approaches to blood cancer. Blood cancer is the number one most diagnosed form of childhood cancer, and nearly 1.4 million people are living with or in remission from blood cancer. LLS has worked tirelessly in its efforts to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma. LLS has contributed to advancing 57 of 66 FDA-approved blood cancer treatments since 2017.
Students of the Year is a seven-week fundraising program for high school students, in the Greater Cleveland area. Over the next few weeks, my team will be raising critical dollars in honor of two local blood cancer survivors, Tim and Colin.
Every dollar raised equals one vote. The team that raises the most funds receives the title Student(s) of the Year.
By donating, you support the many facets of their mission work from investing in groundbreaking research, providing education and support to patients, and advocating at the state and federal level for legislation to help those living with cancer. Together, we have the power, the passion and the resolve to achieve a world without blood cancer. All donations are tax-deductible.
On behalf of blood cancer patients and their families everywhere, we sincerely thank you for your generous support!
