Hello! We are Lucy Turner and Kathleen Hurley, daughters of Steve & Kim Turner and Tom & Holly Hurley. Varsity soccer players and juniors at St. Ursula Academy, we also serve as St. Ursula school ambassadors and are involved in many school activities as well as philanthropic and community service projects including Toledo Y.E.S. Project, Labre, missions trips and church service. 

We are thrilled to have been nominated as 2020 Student of the Year candidates for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). This is a seven week fundraising campaign and competition that lasts January 16th-March 6th and we will be competing against other area high school candidates/teams to raise the most money for LLS. Our team, One Kick Wonders, is working hard to reach our fundraising goal of $50,000!

During this year's campaign we are blessed to be honoring Camryn Rufenacht. Camryn was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) when she was ten years old. After 2.5 long years of harsh treatments and prolonged hospital stays, she is now fifteen years old and currently in remission, Camryn is a Bedford High School freshman who loves painting and playing basketball. Throughout our campaign we will not only be motivated by Camryn, but by everyone else we know who has been affected by cancers.

We have assembled a very PASSIONATE team of friends and family to help us achieve our fundraising goal. Every single member has been affected by a "blood cancer." We have friends, parents, grandparents and other family that are CURRENTLY fiercely fighting or have already battled and won (or, sadly, have lost) battles to leukemias, lymphomas, myelomas, and other forms of blood cancers. It's an honor to these beloved people that we accepted the challenge to raise as much money as we can in this fight to save lives. And we would greatly appreciate your help!

In order to reach our goal, we need YOU! We are asking today for your support of One Kick Wonders by making a generous donation to LLS.  All donations are greatly appreciated and tax deductible. They'll not only support LLS funded research, but will help provide critical information, treatment and support for patients plus support the advocacy of laws that ensure patients can access the care and treatments they need. Every dollar donated is a point earned for our team.  And, likewise, every dollar donated is a step toward "kicking cancer!" But more importantly, please help us raise awareness about LLS. Many people do not know LLS exists. In the last decade, over 40% of cancer treatments and medicines came from LLS funded research, which is not only being used to treat blood cancers, but for other cancers such as breast and liver cancer as well. Please help us put an end to ALL cancer.
