Hey y'all I'm Jacob Morse and I am super excited to be nominated as a Student of the Year for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in the 2022 campaign! I got involved with LLS through my mom and dad because they have supported LLS over the years and motivated me to get involved also. My mom was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma over 15 years ago, when I was just 2 years old. Our family has been active in supporting LLS through their Team in Training, Light the Night, Brighten the Day and Man/Woman of the year campaigns. This year I am excited to be a part of their SoY campaign to help others.

Cancer is a battle many families have to face and my goal is to work towards ending that battle with the help of you guys. Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.
 
Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
 
We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!
