Wow, what an amazing start to our campaign.  Our team, Bulldogs Beat Cancer, has officially raised our fundraising goal to $100,000!!!!

That's absolutely amazing!  I'm so excited to be part of this amazing journey that WILL impact the lives of cancer patients.

Today is our campaign kick off.  I'm so excited to be representing both 3D National lacrosse AND Bulldogs Beat Cancer!  I want to fundraiser for LLS the same way I play on the field: with determination and dedication.  I may not play lacrosse forever but my work WILL make a difference in the lives of cancer patients.  To me, that's what truly makes a difference.

I'm Quinn Theut.  I am so excited to announce that I am a candidate for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) Student Visionary of the Year.  My friend, Samantha Evans, and I are co-chairing the Bulldogs Beat Cancer Team.  Our team goal is to raise $65,000 for blood cancer.  

I am honored to have been recommended as a Student Visionary.  I am inspired to help blood cancer research for two reasons.  First, my sister, Lexi, is a PA student at Eastern Virginia Medical School.  Her dedication to helping others is an inspiratation and raising money to tackle blood cancer is a small part of what I can do as a sophomore in high school.  My second reason for undertaking this challenge is that I know that I am incredibly lucky to not have been personally impacted by cancer.  Many are not as fortunate as me and I want to honor them by working to eradicate this disease.

Personally, I'm a scholar athlete and I play three sports at Westfield.  I am on varsity field hockey, track, and lacrosse.  I've been honored as Second Team All-District lacrosse as a freshman.  I started sophomore year by earning First Team All-District and Second Team All-Region honors for field hockey.  I play travel lacrosse for 3D Maryland.  I am also on the 3D Mid-Atlantic AAA lacrosse team and the 3D National Team. I am a member of DECA, Morgan's Message, Key Club, and Bulldog Buddies.  I've grown up in a military family and believe in the importance of giving back and serving others.

My goal is to fundraise for LLS the same way I appoach athletics: with passion and purpose.
