Candidate, Megan Sawyer planned a wonderful evening of dinner, silent auction, and singing to benefit Team Fight for the Light!  Thanks to Bakers Crust Restaurant in Ashburn, VA for hosting us in their private room.  Sound was provided by Evan Stuart and team member Jet Hardy!  Thanks to our wonderful concert preformers as well!  We had candidates past and present, current team members, and friends sing for us!

It was an evening of community gathering on the world cancer day to support Team Fight for the Light’s effort to raise funds for Leukemia & Lymphoma society. The turn out was great and we can’t be thankful enough for helping us getting one step closer to our goal of raising funds for LLS misson pillar - Patient Education & Support.

Team Fight for the Light is a diverse group of freshman, sophomores and juniors from Riverside High School, Leesburg, Virginia. Our team members come from a range of different backgrounds, and interests, united by a common goal: to help raise funds for Leukemia and Lymphoma Soceity(LLS) during 7 week fund raising campaign that starts on January 27th and ends on March 16th. Three pillars of LLS's mission are Research, Patient Education & Support, and Advocacy. Our team chose to raise funds towards Patient Education & Support  during the 7 week campaign.

Team candidates, Megan Sawyer, Allison Lehner, and Sid Bhupalam, are dedicated to guiding team members in every step of the fund raising process to make a meaningful impact. By supporting our fundraising campaign, you are not only contributing to the fight against cancer but also nurturing a new generation committed to creating a better future.
