Student Visionaries of the Year Northern Virginia

Ella's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser
It's week 4 - officially over halfway through the campaign! Due to my team's hard work and a tremendous outpouring of generosity, we increased our goal again, this time to $75,000. While this is a big step, we believe in our team and your generosity. I'm super excited about this new goal and I know that we can achieve it with your help.
Week 2!!!
It's officially Week 2 of the LLS SVOY Campaign, and I'm super excited about everyone's outpouring of generosity! In fact, it's been such a successful first week that we decided to up our team goal to $50,000. That's a lot of money and we'll need everyone's help in achieving this goal.
If you’re in the DMV Area and looking for some good grub, one of my team members has set up a “Percent Night” at Northside Social in Falls Church on Monday, January, 23 from 4 pm-9 pm. If you go to Northside Social (205 Park Avenue, Falls Church, Virginia) between these hours and say you’re with us, Team Answers for Cancers, 10% of your meal will go to LLS, and count towards our campaign! We’ll be there that night, so join us for some awesome food!
A Bit About Myself!
Hey! I'm Ella Lu, a co-candidate for Team Answers for Cancers. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer, running track, and co-leading my Service Learning Club at school. I'm super excited (and maybe a little bit nervous) for the campaign to start!
I joined LLS to help everyone currently affected by blood cancers, and remember those who have passed. Recently, my Great-Aunt died of Lymphoma, and thinking about her as well as everyone else fighting keeps me motivated to work toward a cure.
This is my team- Answers for Cancers, I'm super excited to work with everyone on this campaign! We're all sophomores at The Potomac School.

Ella's Student Visionaries of the Year Fundraiser
Visionaries look to the future—and see infinite possibility.
They challenge the status quo—and make the impossible possible.
They boldly imagine a better world – and lead the charge to create it.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.
I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.
This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.
As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:
- Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
- Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
- Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!
Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!
