Hello everyone! My name is Alec Sweet. I would like to sincerely thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Ending Leukemia and Lymphoma is an honorable and noble endeavor, in which we can all take part. And the great thing is, ANYTHING helps. Whether it be $0.01 or $1,000, you're supporting research that has a real world impact, and can help real people. If you want to know a bit about why I am doing this, I at first didn't know that this fundraiser existed. I also didn't realize that my own family has been affected by Leukemia and Lymphoma. However, after I joined this campaign, I realized that my great-grandfather, Irving Miller, died of Leukemia. His whole life was robbed from him at the age of only 29. And, what's more, he left behind his son, my grandfather, who was only a few weeks old, and who never got to know his father. His wife was left alone with two babies, and without her husband. Mr. Miller had his whole life ahead of him, a potential that, because of Leukemia, will remain forever untapped. But, we today can ensure that tragedies such as the passing of my great-grandfather will not happen to others by working together to end Leukemia and Lymphoma.
