Hello! I'm William Thissell of Teens Against Leukemia and Lymphoma (TALL) and welcome to the homepage of my fundraising campaign.  I'm currently a 17-year-old junior at St. Stephen's & St. Agnes School in Alexandria, Virginia. Each year the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society does a seven-week campaign called the "Student Visionaries of the Year" to raise money.  High school students across the DC area form teams and compete to see who can raise the most money during the campaign. I am a part of a fundraising team called "Teens Against Leukemia & Lymphoma" led by Alex Brown. The team is made up of 8 students from St. Stephens and St. Agnes School and Langley High School. 

The mission of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) is to raise money that can be used to fight cancer by funding new research to find a cure and to fund treatments and improve the quality of life for current patients and their families.

This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission. In recent years, my grandmother has contracted many cancers, and it has been a very difficult process for many of my family members. I wish to lessen the pain of others going through this very emotionally, mentally, and physically painful experience. By donating to this campaign to help LLS, your donations go to:

• Cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
• Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
