Hello, my name is Annie Minkiewicz and I am honored to be a part of this year's Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) Campaign! As someone who comes from a family that has survived and lost multiple battles with cancer, this is a really important topic to me and an area where I want to make a difference. I am participating in this event specifically in memory of my grandmother, Anne Myers. She was my biggest role model, and continues to be to this day. She endured seven cancer diagnoses and was the strongest person I know. Throughout numerous treatments, she was there for me no matter what and always knew how to brighten up the lives of those around her. I hope to take her example of her impressive optimism and implement it into my work with LLS as I help to bring hope and aid to those who are suffering just like my grandmother.
