My grandpa passed away 28 years ago due to Leukemia. At that time, it was guessed the cause of Leukemia was the side effect of taking certain psoriasis medication. It was only a few months since there was obvious symptom till he passed away. I was a very little girl at that time but still remembered the time heading to hospital with my parents visiting him with no sense on what was happening. I remembered the nap time I had on his hospital bed and his smile every time I woke up, while I only heard more from the family members how much pain he had experience at that time. After so many years, hope the continuous research will help other patients survive, or at least relieve the symptoms and pains. Thanks for sharing me the information regarding the activity. Glad there is a way I can support.

Hi Sophia, great initiative for the great cause, very proud of you. I joined Light The Night Walk under the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for many years before COVID. We can walk or run together next time to celebrate, honor and remember those impacted by the blood cancer.

What a wonderful thing you are doing Sophia! Thank you for raising money for this important cause. My mom was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2008. I still remember that scary time so clearly. I am happy to share that she is a now 15-year cancer survivor and is in good health. I am so grateful for LLS and all the research that has been done and continues to be done for blood cancers to give patients like my mom a second chance.
