Hello!

My name is Maddie Elgin and I'm so excited to start my LLS journey! This year is my Junior year at Walter Johnson High School and I am involved in many volunteer based clubs! I am also part of a Child Development program, to train to become an elementary school teacher in the future! Outside of school, I play travel ice hockey for the Montgomery Ice Devils, volunteer at  Petey and Furends, an animal adoption agency, and spend time with my friends! Part of the reason I wanted to join the Tigers Conquering Cancer team is to impact the lives of those going through such difficult times. My grandparents struggled through various types of cancers and due to their medical treatment, were able to continue living long and healthy lives. I want to provide hope and help to those that need support. It's so important to me that everyone is able to be medically treated, no matter their circumstance. My goal through my fundraising page is to create a more comfortable experience for those fighting this taxing battle, and offer them my support, aswell as give opportunity for researchers to expand their experiments and find new treatment plans. I know that with the help of your generosity, this goal is possible, and even nearby.
