Hi! I'm Kaylee Ferris, a team member of Team Closer to a Cure, participating in the 2024 Student Visionaries of the Year campaign! Over the next 7 weeks, I will be fundraising to support the incredible work of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and it's mission to cure blood cancers.

I am fundraising in honor of my grandpa who fought and beat cancer and in remembrance of Mr. Palafox, a teacher at my high school who passed away from leukemia. Knowing how cancer affected my grandpa and the community around him has motivated me to raise funds and advocate for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I believe that I can make a difference not only by supporting people emotionally, but by raising funds to help find better and safer cures for cancer.

My personal goal is to raise $5,000 between January 13th and March 2nd. It’s a lofty goal, but I am willing to work hard to reach it. I cannot do it alone; I need your help! There are a few ways you can support my fundraising efforts:
