As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

  • Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics, and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
  • Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
  • Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.

I'm on a mission to see a world without blood cancers. I have personally witnessed the impact of severe health problems on extended family members, resulting in tragic losses due to inadequate support and healthcare. My motivation in fundraising for blood cancers is to make a meaningful difference in someone's life, ensuring they receive the proper care they deserve.

To me, success is measured by the ability to help others. I aspire to create a significant impact on the world, particularly in Ethiopia, where support may not be as readily available as it should be. Joining forces with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) allows me to initiate this change. I am committed to making a positive impact now and in the future, contributing to the well-being of others through service and support.

In participating in this blessed opportunity, my team and I are honoring the 2024 Student Visionaries Honored Hero, Rajan Patel, a freshman diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.I have been fortunate to work with a dedicated team committed to finding cures. Together, we're working tirelessly to turn our vision of bringing about a world without blood cancers, into reality, and your support can kickstart this journey.

Hello!! My name is Eliana Gebreegziabhar and I'm a junior at Wheaton High School. I am currently in the biomedical program at Wheaton as well as an Architecture student and Skills USA Representative at Thomas Edison. Taking several medical classes has made me aware of all the health conditions many humans face and the steps that the medical field and members of society like me can take to make a difference! I participate in several community-focused organizations and clubs in school and at my church because giving back to the people who've helped me is an important goal in my life. In my free time, I love to draw, participate in creative outlets like fashion, play volleyball, spend time with my loved ones, and learn about the world.

This year, I am proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.

Visionaries look to the future—and see infinite possibilities.
They challenge the status quo—and make the impossible possible.
They boldly imagine a better world – and lead the charge to create it.

I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.

By contributing to the LLS, you're fueling cutting-edge research, providing crucial patient support, and advocating for improved care. Giving isn't just about donations; it's about building a community, saving lives, and making history.

Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!

Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer. On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you! Let's eliminate blood cancers for the generations to follow!
