Hi, my name is Blen Worede, and I am an 11th-grade Bioscience Student at Wheaton High School and a Medical Assistant Student at Thomas Edison High School of Technology. I would like to work as a physician assistant in the future, specializing in either dermatology or pediatrics. I am also a member of several clubs at my school, enjoy tennis and reading!
This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.
I chose to dedicate my time to LLS because I am passionate about helping my community and because of their incredible goal of making our generation the last to experience cancer by raising funds for cancer research, promoting widespread advocacy, and supporting patients. I also have a personal connection because I've lost a very close family friend to cancer, which inspired me to participate in this incredible opportunity to honor them.
Visionaries look to the future—and see infinite possibilities.
They challenge the status quo—and make the impossible possible.
They boldly imagine a better world – and lead the charge to create it.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.
Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please tell friends and companies who would also like to donate! ❤️
Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer. On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!
