​​​​​​​My name is Emily Brennnan, and I am a co-candidate of Team No Bad Blood! I am a junior at Alexandria City High School, and I live in Alexandria, VA with my parents Chris and Dave. My sister Sarah is a first-year at the University of Virginia, and she has helped inspire me in my drive to make the world a better place.

I am incredibly honored to be participating in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign! I am working to raise as much money as possible for LLS' mission, and any donation will make a huge difference in the lives of cancer patients.

Ask anyone, and they'll be able to tell you about at least one way cancer has impacted their life. Personally, I joined this campaign to honor my cousin Sophia, who passed away a little over a year ago after a long battle with Leukemia. Sophia worked closely with her LLS chapter, and this year, I hope to honor her by bringing even more attention to blood cancers.

Did you know that Leukemia is now the most common form of childhood cancer? So many lives are devastated by a cancer diagnosis, but with your help, LLS is working to change this.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

--   Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients

--  Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more

--   Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
