Samantha's Student Visionaries of the Year Washington DC Fundraiser
My Name is Samantha Katz. This year, I'm proud to be a part of the 2023 Student Visionaries of the Year (SVOY) Campaign for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). LLS is the largest contributor to blood cancer in the nation. SVOY is an incredible opportunity for high school students such as myself to raise as much as possible for the fight against cancer.
Visionaries look to the future—and see infinite possibility.
They challenge the status quo—and make the impossible possible.
They boldly imagine a better world – and lead the charge to create it.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.
I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.
As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:
-
Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
-
Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
-
Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
I have decided to dedicate my time to SVOY, in honor of my Uncle Gary Rochestie. I want to do everything I can to help those battling illness. I am so thankful I been given this amazing opportunity to take action and help fight blood cancers.
Over the 7 week span of January 21 - March 11, my team and I will be collecting donations. With your support, I hope to reach my personal goal of raising $5000 and contribute to my team's goal of $40,000. Every cent counts and I would greatly appreciate your support in this fight to cure blood cancer. Please note that all donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible.
Please share this website with friends and family who may be interested in donating or learning more about LLS.
If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to reach out to me at samanthaakatzz@gmail.com
Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support! For more information about LLS, please visit www.lls.org.
