Welcome to my LLS Fundraising Page!

My name is Sahana Bajaj, and I am a junior at Flint Hill School. Over the course of seven weeks, my team and I aim to raise as much money as possible! I am a visionary and have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help. Every dollar counts, and we cannot do this without you! Please donate to my campaign and help those in need.

Many of you know me well, but for those who don’t, I love playing soccer, spending time with my dog, Max, and watching basketball. I have been playing soccer since I was ten years old.

The funds that LLS has raised have advanced treatments for blood cancer that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases, quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers. Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic, and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives daily.  LLS has supported many patients, and I want to be a part of that, but it is impossible without you. 

I am participating as a team member because my grandmother lost her battle with cancer. I do not want other families to go through what mine did, so I am working with LLS to raise money and save others. 

Hearing "you have cancer" are some of the most heartbreaking words for patients and their families. On average, ten people hear "you have blood cancer" every thirty minutes. Every nine minutes, approximately one person has lost their battle. This means a family has lost their son, daughter, mom, dad, sister, or brother every nine minutes. LLS ensures that hearing "you have cancer" is not so scary.
