My name is Kate Allman and I am a 2023 Student Visionary for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Campaign. LLS has a mission to raise money and awareness for those fighting blood cancers. 

     I am a junior at Robinson High School and I am doing this campaign with other high-achieving students at my school. I love school, I play softball, and over the next 7 weeks, I am going to work as hard as I can to raise $5,000.                               ​​​​​​​

​​​​​​​       My reason for being involved with this campaign is my aunt Bernadette. My aunt passed away this year due to cancer.  This loss was heartbreaking and allowed me to see how much cancer takes from all of us. My aunt loved to hike and go on adventures, but in her final years, she was sadly unable to do all the things she loved. That is why I decided to get involved with a team that focuses on patient support.

     LLS has three pillars, Research, Policy & Advocacy, and Patient Support. Patient support involves helping the families of those affected through 1 on 1 support and financial assistance. LLS provided free information, support services, and financial aid to over 30,000 people last year.

     I am dedicating 7 weeks (January 21st to March 11th) to raise as much money as possible and collect donations for blood cancers. Your support will be greatly appreciated as I try to reach my goal of raising $5,000.
