Hi Everyone, My name is J.P. Loyko, and I am a Junior at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, D.C. This year, my friends and I have joined together to form an LLS team for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign. Over the next seven weeks, my team is working together to raise as much money as possible with the end goal of providing beneficial research to all forms of blood cancer and winning the title of Student Vinsonaries of the Year. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society holds a special place in my heart as both of my grandfathers, John Loyko and Patrick Conway, are currently going through their own battles with blood cancer with Non-Hogkins Lymphoma and Myelofibrosis. They are two of the most influential people in my life, and I hope to honor them over the next seven weeks by bringing awareness to this disease.
