Gabrielle's Student Visionaries of the Year Washington DC Fundraiser
I was inspired to dedicate my time to LLS and SVOY due to the recent passing of my Grandmother, who taught me about the joy and meaning art brings to life. The life-saving treatment regime she was placed on was both costly and emotionally demanding, yet she never let it get in the way of her passion, and never let her pain overshadow the love she had for everyone around her. Medically, we have a long way to go when it comes to patient support, and my LLS group's goal is to chip away at the insurmountable stress that costly yet life-saving treatments cause. Through my fundraising, I seek to restore hope in patients and families devastated by the effects of cancer.
Gabrielle's Student Visionaries of the Year Washington DC Fundraiser
Hello! I'm Gigi (Gabrielle) Giebel, and I am honored to say that over the next couple of months, I will be fundraising for LLS! As a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, I will work to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.
As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:
- Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
- Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
- Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!
Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!

I am pleased to make this donation in honor of my mother, Mary Ellen Gordon Brockson. Her fight with a cancer of the blood was one that was hard fought with grace and positivity. We keep her spirit alive and remember her by participating in activities such as these; in hope that one day, a cure is found. Thank you Gigi for being a student visionary! Much love, Aunt Donna and Uncle Mark
