My name is Ella Miner and I'm a junior at Georgetown Visitation. I'm proud to represent my school as a team member for the S.W.A.T. (Students With a Target) 6.0 Team. Our team is represented in the Leukemia Lymphoma Society's 2023 Student of the Year campaign.

By donating to LLS, you have the ability to help fund research for blood cancers, which also helps to find a cure for many other types of cancers. Over 1.4 million Americans are living with or are in remission from a blood cancer, and every 3 minutes another person joins the battle. With your support, we can help these blood cancer patients and work to ultimately find a cure. I'm honored to be able to spread awareness and raise money for this cause.

Over the past few years, there have been people in my life who have been affected by cancer. I’m sure you know people as well. My campaign is in memory of my grandmothers, Tina Pablo and Jane Miner, who both have died from cancer. My campaign also honors dear family friends, Lourdes G. Sanchez and Karla Cook. Both are lymphoma survivors who are in remission and doing extremely well.

My team and I have been hard at work since September 2022. Our goal is to raise $90,000 for the cause and we need your help! Every amount counts - no matter the amount.

• Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
