When I was diagnosed with ALL at the age of 2 and a half, my life was a flurry of chemotherapies and treatments until I was finally cancer-free at the age of 7 years old. Without the unrelenting force of doctors and nurses that stuck by me through thick and thin, my life would be very different. Since then, it has been my personal mission to give back in gratitude and help in the fight against cancer. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is dedicated to funding cancer research, supporting cancer patients, and creating a community based on support and perseverance. With your help, the opportunities are endless: from ground-breaking cancer treatments to potentially saving someone's life. And with your support, as co-candidates, Anika and I can hope to #CancelBloodCancer once and for all.

Every dollar raised counts as one vote for my campaign. The candidate(s) whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year. As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.

As a Leukemia survivor myself, LLS is an organization that really touched my heart when I first heard about them. In 2019, I worked to raise close to $2000 for the Light the Night Campaign and now my goal has expanded to $5000! This organization means so much to me and to other cancer patients and survivors. With your support, treatment and therapy research for various blood cancers can be found in order to #cancelcancer. 
 
Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
 
We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!
