Student of the Year Fundraiser
I can't believe there is one week left. Thank you so much to everyone who has helped. I am so close to my goal!
Here is a reminder of why I am doing this. Declan ( on the right) is doing great and was able to go out skiing this weekend with us!
If you haven't donated yet please make a donation today and if you have please share this link with a friend or two. I need all the help I can get to get across the finish line!!
Week Three
Hard to believe but it is week three! Thanks to everyone for their support.
I want to focus this week on gratitude. I am thankful to all my family and friends that have donated and shared by link. I am thankful for the local businesses that have supported me, especially those restaurants and other businesses that have been hard hit by the COVID crisis.
I want to thank strangers that have been so generous. People I don't know have donated money for us to buy gift cards from local restaurants for our auction basket. Strangers have donated to my campaign and shared the link to my campaign with others.
Finally, I want to thank everyone who has shared their story with me. So many people have been touched by cancer. So many more than I ever expected. And I am so happy to hear about so many of them doing well. That's why this campaign matters so much.
Please visit my website as often as you can and share it with everyone you know who would also like to join us in the fight against cancer. Together, we have the power, the passion and the resolve to achieve a world without blood cancer. All donations are tax-deductible.
On behalf of cancer patients and their families everywhere, I sincerely thank you for your support!
Week Two
Dear Friends and Family,
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
I encourage you to join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign. By donating to LLS, you support the many facets of LLS’s mission work from investing in groundbreaking research, providing education and support to patients, and advocating at the state and federal level for legislation to help those living with cancer. LLS has helped millions impacted by cancer throughout its more than 70-year history, even funding breakthrough blood cancer research to advance lifesaving treatments and cures that is now helping patients with other cancers and diseases. That is why at LLS they say that beating cancer is in their blood.
LLS has an initiative called the Children’s Initiative: Cures and Care for Children and is committed to increasing its investment in pediatric cancer research to help all children with cancer. This is the reason I got involved with the campaign. I am only 16 but I've been to the funeral of one of my Jui Jitsu teammates' sister. She was an amazing little girl and fought for a long time but couldn't beat cancer. And then last year one of my best friends was diagnosed with cancer. 2020 wasn't a great year but I am so glad they found his cancer early. It wasn't always easy but he just had his last treatment in December. My Aunt Sue was also diagnosed with Colon Cancer in 2020 and is currently undergoing treatment.
I wanted to do something more than just shave my head to support them. So, I joined this team to help raise money for more research. We desperately need research for more and better treatments for children. And I don't want to watch someone else I care about get sick from cancer.
I know that 2020 has brought unexpected financial difficulties to many people but every donation helps big or small. I hope you will help.

Special thanks to everyone who supported my campaign during the first week! I appreciate your generosity so much!
