To all of you amazing humans who were gracious enough to support me with your donations, I thank you whole heartedly. Your contribution is not only going towards such an amazing cause, but hearing your personal stories of why LLS is important to you is so heartwarming. You are all so strong and so generous. Thank you so incredibly much for being a part of this journey.

Kolbee's Students of the Year Fundraiser

Jan 10, 2021

Hello amazing humans!

My name is Kolbee Wisniewski and thank you so much for taking the time to visit my fundraising page! (See bottom of page for a thank you gift!)

This is my second year participating in the Students of the Year campaign and for those who supported me last year, I cannot thank you enough for all that you have done. I am so honored to say that this year I am participating on Team Loco On Cancer 21 as a Co-Candidate to two of the strongest and most admirable people I have ever come across, Hunter Robinson and Sarah Rubin. My team consists of six other Loudoun County Students: Hope Fahrner, Kadyn Morga, Shannon Davis, Ashton Smyth, Isaiah Strokes, and Jenny Wise. These amazing humans have taken their grief and frustration towards watching loved ones battle cancer and turned into their personal mission to end this suffering for others once and for all and I cannot be more proud to be working a long side of them.

Not only does this campaign impact the lives of so many, but it has also forever changed mine. Last year, I learned the true value of every cent and person that circulates this Earth and that each and every one of them, no matter how small, has the power to make such a drastic change.

Why I Fight:

Although I am fighting on behalf of cancer patients and their families around the world, I am dedicating my campaign to my Papa, Stanley Wisniewksi, who has been battling cancer since as long as I can remember. This man holds God in his heart like no other, going to church every day and praying for the health of others despite needing an answer to that prayer himself. My Papa is an inspiration to me because, representative of his stubborn nature, he refuses to give up fighting and let cancer win. Because of his own strong will, God, and the fundraising efforts of programs like Students of the Year, my Papa as been lucky in controlling the demon of cancer for as long as he has, but unfortunatley this disease still takes a toll on him every day. Depite this, he still pushes back and regains his strength and survival in order to be with loved ones for as long as he can, in order to see who we grow into be. I am fighting to show my Papa that this fight has been for good use and that others are fighting a long side him every day. I love you Papa!

In order to show my appreciation for those who support me in my fundraising efforts, for every $100 donation I recieve, you will be sent a hand made bracelet from my mom and I with the message of your choice! You can leave your message in the comment section of your donation submission or email me it along with the address I can send it to at Kolbee07@gmail.com.

If you are unable to support me financially, please do not have a heavy heart. I do not want a donation to feel like an obligation to my friends and family and in any way put a burden on you or your wallet. If you would still like to show your support without a monetary donation, please spread the word far and wide. You can share this link of my fundraising page, share our posts on social media (Facebook: Loco On Cancer21 and Instagram: Loco.oncancer21), or just give me a (socially distant) pat on the back here or there as a reminder of what its all about. I love you all and wish you nothing but the best.

Thank you for being you.

I donated in honor of my son who is a 16 year Leukemia survivor. The Leukemia Society along with a loving community helped to give us courage and hope for each day which every day was a new normal. Thank you for raising funds to shine that light of hope for patients and their families.

Although it's not much, no monetary value is more important than the lives that cancer has stricken. To those we have lost and the ones who are fighting, stay strong. Prayer for all!

Kolbee, I handle marketing for Loudoun Valley Floors and found out about this when they told me they needed an ad for the program booklet. What an inspiration you and your fellow students are! My sister, Teresa Ritenour, was diagnosed with APML almost exactly 3 years ago. What a shocking and scary time, but also full of many blessings. Thanks to organizations like LLS, there is now a cure for what she had. After 50 days at UVA and additional treatment, she has now been cancer free for 2 years. 10 years ago, her outcome would have been very different. I salute you and your efforts! (and I don't need a bracelet, give mine to someone else:). Best to you! Tammy Swankowski
