Gabi is OVER THE MOON excited to be a candidate and to be participating in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2020 Students of the Year (SOY) campaign. I'm sure you are probably wondering what SOY even is!! SOY is a seven-week initiative in which high school leaders across the country participate in a competition to fundraise for LLS’s mission: to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Team GoldBusters is on a mission to exterminate cancer!

In my free time, I love to perform with theatre companies and Studio Bleu's amazing vocal groups. My dream is to direct and I am currently directing a one-act that will showcase in April "dinner theatre style". I am a junior at Riverside high school where I am frequently seen on stage. I'm also a member of ITS, SADD, and a co-owner of Princess Perfect Parties where we dedicate ourselves to bringing magic to every single child! We have donated over $3,000 to charity! 

For the past few years, my attendance at Curefest DC fueled my passion to advocate for Childhood Cancer which led me to the amazing opportunity of working with the LLS. 

At the end of the seven weeks of fundraising, the team that raises the most money is named Students of the Year. As a team, we are looking to not only raise $50,000, but to raise awareness for blood cancers. My personal goal is $7,000.
