I have signed up to save lives with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and am working to raise as much as possible over the next 7 weeks. I am so excited to be apart of this fundraiser for the 3rd year in a row! This is a very special campaign to me because I have had a close connection to cancer when my grandfather passed away from it last Feburary. The campaign always feels very rewarding once I see how much we can all contribute together and raise as much money as posssible. If our team, Cavs for Cures, raises the most money, we will earn the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year, thanks to your contributions. My personal fundraising goal is $5,000 and I hope you can help me reach it by March 12th, the date the campaign ends.
 
As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers. Every dollar raised will significantly help everyone struggling with this disease and their families.
 
Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
