Hello! My name is Nora Torp, and I am a Junior at The Academy of the Holy Cross. This year I have joined the team, The Red Elephants, to participate in the 2022 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society DC Students of the Year. I am working to raise as much as possible over the next 7 weeks to fight cancer. Every dollar raised counts as one vote for my campaign. The candidate(s) whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year.

I joined this campaign to support my friends and family dealing with the impacts of cancer. I want to support everyone in my life who has been there for me and are currently fighting their battles with cancer. My grandma, Francis Higgins, passed away in 2015 from cancer, and I want to raise money in her name. Cancer impacts everyone, and I want to be the generation to stop it.

 
Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
