Nina Sinkford | Team Gators Beat Blood Cancer
Nina's Students of the Year Fundraiser
Dear Family and Friends,
I am very excited to share with you that I am participating in the Students of the Year campaign! Over the next seven weeks, I will be working to raise money and awareness for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). The goal of this fundraiser is to make as much money as possible for LLS to continue to research better treatments, improve clinical outcomes and ultimately find a cure for blood cancers. I want to be a part of the generation that finally beats cancer!
Like me, I am sure you know someone who has been directly or indirectly impacted by leukemia or lymphoma. Thanks to your support, the Gators Beat Blood Cancer team will campaign to raise money that will go to fund therapies and treatments that will save the lives of many. Over the years, I have watched the success of my fellow students rally around this important campaign. As a Junior at Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, I decided just watching was not enough. I wanted to personally make a difference!
Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers. Every three minutes someone in the US is diagnosed with a blood cancer, and every nine minutes someone dies from a blood cancer. Let’s all do what we can to find a cure!
Any donation amount helps, no matter how big or small. Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution. Two ways to donate include using the link below to donate online quickly & securely. Or by writing a check, which may be made out to LLS, with Nina Sinkford in the memo. You will receive an email confirmation of your donation (if it is done online) as soon as it is made.
I thank you in advance for your support which will make a difference in the lives of thousands of people battling blood cancers.

Thank you Nina for doing this. We lost our dear friend years ago but it still feels like yesterday. He was a young vibrant father of two. I still imagine how much better the world would be if he was still with us.

Nina, I am so glad your school picked such a wonderful cause. I lost a close friend to leukemia in college and my father-in-law has been in treatment for years now. He's received amazing medical care thanks to associations like this. Best of luck in meeting and exceeding your fundraising goal!
