The accomplishments of humankind, and certainly the applications of science, have allowed us to move forward in unimaginable ways. LLS has proven this this since the organization was founded in 1949. By investing billions of dollars in research, education, and advocacy, the organization is pioneering some of today's most innovative approaches. As a student pursuing a career in medicine, I was immediately drawn to LLS. My career path will specialize in transforming the live of patients, making me incredibly excited to be supporting this cause. 

In doing so, I will be graduating this year as a certified surgical technologist, holding a high school diploma and an associate degree, with five-hundred hours of clinical training in a top Washington D.C. area hospital. My passion for science and medicine has only grown by supporting LLS. I am working hard to fundraise for LLS, representing the Clarksburg community as a "Coyotes for a Cure 3.0" team member, because I am eager to benevolently contribute to all patients for the rest of my life. 

My goal is to raise $5,000 for the cause and I can’t do it alone. There are many opportunities to help support our efforts and partner with this worthy cause. I have signed up to save lives with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and am working to raise as much as possible over the next 7 weeks. Every dollar raised counts as one vote for my campaign. As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.
 
Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
 
We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!
