I am proud to have been nominated by the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Students of the Year campaign to help save lives. My teammates and I are competing against other teams around the DC area to raise the most money through March 12th and I would really like to win the title of Student of the Year. However, in the end, this campaign isn’t for my benefit, it is for those who are fighting this terrible disease.

With your support, my efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers. Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. Also, LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.

All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. However a key part of our fundraising efforts are the incredible experiences we have arranged for exclusive access to some inspiring celebrities. For each donation of $1,000 or more, you can have the opportunity to sign up for a face-to-face Zoom session with celebrities like tennis legends Billie Jean King and Andy Roddick, Washington Nationals Manager Davey Martinez, and cooking classes with award-winning chefs Mike Solomonov and Gregory Gourdet. Once we have received your donation, you will get a separate email with a link to sign up for the session of your choice. Each session is limited to only 12 donors, so the earlier you commit, the more likely you can secure your spot.
