Hi our names are Katie and Mary Celeste! We are juniors at the Academy of the Holy Cross! We are so excited to share that we have signed up to save lives with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Students of the Year Campaign, The Red Elephants!!! 🐘 🐘 

We have signed up to save lives with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and are working to raise as much as possible over the next 7 weeks. Every dollar raised counts as one vote for our campaign. The candidate(s) whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year. Will you help me earn that title?

We decided to join the Students of the Year campaign to help LLS with its mission to cure cancer in honor of all the family, friends, and neighbors we know who have been touched by cancer in one way or another. Most of these people have beaten cancer but we joined for the people that we know that didn’t beat it and we hope that by joining this team we can raise lots of awareness and lots of money to help beat cancer. We would like to recognize our Grandma who is a breast cancer survivor! The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society supported therapies and research not only help blood cancer patients but are also used to treat patients with all different forms of cancer! With your help, LLS can advance their life-saving research and help everyone else become cancer survivors!

As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, our efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.
 
Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
 
We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!
