Hey! Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising website. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is an organization that fights to find better treatments and potential cures for blood cancer and improve the lives of patients and their families. I have joined this fundraising campaign as a way to help LLS with its mission, and am working to raise as many funds as possible over the next 7 weeks. Every dollar raised counts and brings my team closer to raising the money needed to continue funding global blood cancer research, affordable education, and free information and support services.

My grandmother was one of my favorite people in the world. She had a witty, fiery personality that I have never seen in anyone else. She always stood up straight, and in her green eyes, one could see that she was still young at heart. She was a musician who held a great appreciation for the arts, and who took the time to teach me how to play the piano. She was a woman that had seen so much throughout her lifetime, and she used her wisdom to push me to be my best. I remember her being the person I looked up to most as a child. I never wanted to leave her side, nor her to leave mine.

She died from Leukemia in December of 2017. Her death was extremely sudden, as we had received the diagnosis only a week prior to her passing. I wasn't prepared to lose her - no one in my family was. I will never forget the pain that her diagnosis and death inflicted on me and my family, and I want to help make sure that others don't have to go through the same pain. This is where LLS, and you, come in. 

The support that LLS receives from people like you has a huge impact on the organization's abilities and success. Over the years, such support has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers. In addition, LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day. These LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic, and prostate cancers.
 
We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers, but we need your help to reach it!
