Kayla's Students of the Year Fundraiser

Jan 15, 2022

Hello and welcome to my fundraising page!!!!

My name is Kayla Norris and I am a junior at the Academy of the Holy Cross! I am very excited to be participating in The Leukemia & Lymphoma society's Students of the Year campaign as a team member on the team The Red Elephants!

About my team:

The Red Elephants is a legacy team from the Academy of the Holy Cross that has been participating in the Students of the Year campaign since 2018. My team is here to address the elephant in the room: cancer. We hope to be the generation that stomps out cancer! Follow our instagram and watch our journey at @teamtheredelephants! About the Campaign:

The Campaign lasts 7 weeks through these 7 weeks I will be working to raise as much money as possible. Every dollar raised counts as one vote for my campaign, the team with the most votes wines the prestigious title of Students of the Year.

As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.

Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.

We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!

All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. These donations support the three goals of LLS to improve patients life: research, access, and advocacy. They not only help LLS, but patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services as well.

Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!

On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you for your support! For more information about LLS, please visit www.lls.org

What a wonderful initiative and so many of us have had friends or family whom we lost to a blood cancer. I am contributing in honor of my mother, Jean Pablo, who believed in working together to change the world - like you are Kayla.
