Dear Friends and Family, 

This year, we are honored to be participating in the 2022 Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Students of the Year (SOY) campaign as candidates leading the Gators Beat Blood Cancer Team. The campaign is a seven-week initiative, starting January 22 and continuing through March 12, in which high school students from around the country are nominated to participate in a fundraising competition to benefit LLS’s mission: to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

We are very proud to be continuing the legacy of the Gators Beat Blood Cancer Team, which was founded in honor of Stone Ridge Alum Meaghan Kilner who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma and is now in remission! We are also doing this in honor of our dad, a 10-year survivor of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and the 1.3 million people who are living with or are in remission from cancer. 

Whether it is someone in your family or a friend, we know that many of you also have a connection to cancer in some way. Together we can fight for those in our lives who have been affected by cancer and fund a cure. Every 3 seconds, someone is diagnosed with blood cancer. With your support of LLS, we can fight to change this. Your donation will support the many facets of LLS’s mission work from investing in groundbreaking research, providing education and support to patients, and advocating at the state and federal level for legislation to help those living with cancer.
