I was nominated to be a Candidate for Students of the Year to help raise as much money as possible to fund life-saving research and technology for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) over the next 7 weeks. I am asking you all to donate no matter how much you can give because every dollar raised counts as one vote for my campaign. The candidate(s) whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year. Will you help me earn that title?
 
As we all know, cancer can often seem like an unstoppable force ruining the lives of our friends and family. I decided to participate because I've seen how cancer impacts people and their families far too many times. Cancer isn't merciful, and I want to do everything I can to stop it from interrupting people's lives.
 
Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
 
We really are getting closer every day to our goal of a world without blood cancers!
