Hi, my name is Juliana Bove and I am a junior at The Academy of the Holy Cross in Kensington, MD! This year I am participating in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's Students of the year. So, Over the next 7 weeks, I will be working to raise as much money as I can towards fighting cancer. Every dollar raised counts as one vote for my campaign. The candidate(s) whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year. I am so excited to get started and hope I can get your support!

My reason for joining this fight is my Aunt Jill who I am raising this money in memory of. She was beloved by many family and friends but sadly passed away in 2020 due to brain cancer. These funds are going towards fighting blood cancers, but advancements made in LLS also often lead to advancement in other cancers, including brain cancer. This cause is important to me and could make a difference to many people fighting cancer!

Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic, and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.

Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for blood cancer advancements! These treatments have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers and thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund these therapies and treatments that are saving lives.

We are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!
