Hi! My name is Delaney Donohue and I am here to raise movie for LLS (Leukemia and Lymphoma Society) My why is 10 years ago my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer.  I was younger so I really did not know the seriousness of cancer but I stood by my grandmas side giving her support the best I could. Currently I have a greater understanding of what cancer is and the seriousness of being diagnosed with Cancer. I remember it was really difficult time for my grandmom and our family. My grandmom was only given a 10% chance to live because her cancer spread.  One of the many memories I have during that time is when my sisters and I gave her a hair cut because she was losing all of her hair. She thankfully was able to fight it off with a lot of treatment! When she had her 5th year of remission, we went on a big family vacation to celebrate her being cancer free. She has been in remission for over 8 years now.  I am passionate about raising awareness about cancer and fundraising for a cure. LLS is an amazing society that helps with raising awareness and finding a cure! Please help me raise money for a cure!!  Every dollar counts! 

We have signed up to save lives with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and am working to raise as much as possible over the next 7 weeks. Every dollar raised counts as one vote for our campaign. As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, our efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.
 
Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
 
We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!
