Hello and welcome to my fundraising page!

My name is Cami Murphy and I am a sophmore at the Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland. I am proud to annouce that I am participating in the 2021-2022 students of the year campaign, with the Leukemia and Lymphoma society. 

This campaign lasts for seven weeks, in which high school students around the globe are nominated to participate in fundraising efforts that contribute to LLS's mission (Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families). I am working to raise as much money as possible to honor those currently battling or in remission from blood cancer. Every dollar raised counts as one vote for my campaign. The candidate's team that raises the most money at the end of the seven weeks, is named Student or Students of the Year. 

As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers. Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
 
We really are getting close to our goal of a world without blood cancers!
