Ann Leslie's Students of the Year Fundraiser

Jan 22, 2022

Hi everyone and welcome to my fundraising page! My name is Ann Leslie Riley and I'm a junior at Yorktown High School in Arlington, Virginia. This year, I joined Team SWAG (Students With A Goal) led by team leaders Sadie O'neal and Sarah Finkel, to save lives with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). My personal goal is to raise $7,000 over the next 7 weeks. Every dollar raised counts as one vote for my campaign. The candidates whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Students of the Year. Your support for me and Team SWAG is greatly appreciated!

I joined this campaign because I am very passionate about finding a cure for this awful disease. I have had multiple family members and friends who have been affected by cancer and it made me realize that I want to make a difference. The goal of this campaign is not just to raise money, but also to promote education about blood cancer. Blood cancer research is a huge component in finding treatments to a variety of other forms of cancer, along with Leukemia and Lymphoma. Finally, this campaign is a great oppurtunity to expand my leadership and communication skills. I've already learned so many life skills that I can carry with me even after the campaign is over.

Thank you so much for visiting my page and for your support! Your donation truly has an amazing impact on the life of a cancer patient. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!

Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.

Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
