Hello, family & friends, and welcome to my fundraising page!

My name is Alexa Binstock and I am a Sophmore at the Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland. 

I am very proud to announce that I am participating in the 2021 - 2022 students of the year campaign, with the Leukemia and Lymphoma society. I am working to raise as much as possible over the next 7 weeks, and I can't do it without all of your support! Every dollar raised counts as one vote for my campaign. The candidate(s) whose team tallies the most votes earns the prestigious title of Student or Students of the Year. Will you help me earn that title?
 
I decided to be a part of this campaign because both of my grandparents, Shelton and Bella Binstock, passed away from cancer. My grandfather had Leukemia and my grandmother had Brain cancer. I know how painful and devastating it is not only for the patient, but the family as well. I experienced this pain first hand and I want to help lessen the pain for people experiencing this as well. LLS has funded more than 60% of blood cancer therapies used to fight other forms of cancer, and your support will mean the world to all cancer research and treatments! I am funding in honor of my grandparents, and to help contribute to curing cancer and preventing others from losing their loved ones. As you know, everyone wins when cancer loses. Thanks to your support, my efforts will help fund therapies and treatments that are saving lives. Over the years, support from people like you has been responsible for the blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.
 
Many LLS-supported therapies not only help blood cancer patients but are also now used to treat patients with rare forms of stomach and skin cancers and are in clinical trials for patients with lung, brain, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancers. And LLS-funded drugs like targeted therapies and immunotherapies are now saving thousands of lives every day.
