Tai Corbin's Students of the Year Fundraiser
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page, welcome! Please share this link with everyone you know who would also like to join us in the fight against cancer.
I, Tai Corbin, first heard about how to get involved in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's program and work alongside them last year. Last year, about 30 million dollars were raised by the LLS Student of the Year program. I immediately became interested in joining my peers in helping raise money for the sake of cancer research and support for patients. My team, Lucy's Angels, is working very hard on gaining donations for LLS. I am excited to raise money for this cause and I have a goal of $5,000. It would be even better if I could raise twice or more than that amount! I am assisting LLS in raising money because of cancer has negatively impacted everyone in some way and there is no reason to be uninvolved.
Every year, LLS dedicates our efforts to an "honored hero" that has been a victim of cancer. This year, our honored hero is Kory Coates, a 15-year-old boy with acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) had battled cancer since the age of twelve. Though his condition gradually improved through chemotherapy, he unfortunately relapsed in 2019. On December 13, 2020, Kory Coates passed away as a result of AML. This devastating news has affected LLS, my team and, most importantly, Cory's family. As we send letters of condolences to his family, my team and I will never forget his fight and how crucial LLS's research is.
I encourage you to join me in supporting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) by making a donation to my fundraising campaign. By donating to LLS, you support the many facets of LLS’s mission work from investing in groundbreaking research, providing education and support to patients, and advocating at the state and federal level for legislation to help those living with Leukemia, Lymphoma and cancer in general. My appreciation for your support cannot be overstated — each and every dollar donated to LLS brings us closer to our goal to end blood cancer and makes an impact for cancer patients and their families.
As a global leader in the fight to end cancer, LLS is committed to doing more for blood cancer patients and families than any organization in the world. LLS’s signature fundraising campaigns drive critical support for its mission, including their nearly $1.3 billion investment in cutting edge cancer research worldwide since it was founded in 1949. Since the 1960s, survival rates for many blood cancer patients have doubled, tripled, or even quadrupled.
Every facet of LLS’s mission – research, education and support, and policy and advocacy – work in harmony to put blood cancer patients and their families first. LLS has helped millions impacted by cancer throughout its more than 70-year history, even funding breakthrough blood cancer research to advance lifesaving treatments and cures that is now helping patients with other cancers and diseases. That is why at LLS we say that beating cancer is in our blood.
Please visit my website as often as possible to donate and share the link. Spread the word so that we can all make a difference! Together, we have the power, the passion and the resolve to achieve a world without blood cancer. All donations are tax-deductible.
On behalf of cancer patients and their families everywhere, I sincerely thank you for your support!
