Hi everyone! My name is Sophia Schroeder and I am so glad you are visiting my fundraising page for the LLS 2021 Students of the Year. I am currently a Junior at Justice High School in Falls Church, Virginia. There, I am a student in the International Baccalaureate Program. I participate in Cross Country in the fall, Swim & Dive in the winter, and Track & Field in the spring. I am a member of the National Honors Society, Science National Honors Society, Science Olympiad, and Girl Up. I am also a mentor in our schools mentoring program for freshman and new students. Outside of school, I do community service work around the community and play piano as well as read, paint, and watch TV shows and movies. I have been a lifeguard and a swim instructor in the summer. This is my second year participating in the Students of the Year program with my team Justice for a Cure as a team member and I couldn't be more excited! I got involved with LLS through Grace Martin, a candidate on my team. I am fundraising for all the people out there battling with leukemia and lymphoma in hope that a cure will be found. It is my personal goal to raise $3,000 by March 13th, all of which will go toward funding research and helping people and families who need financial assistance while fighting blood cancer.
