My name is Sophia Bertozzi, and I am a junior at St. John's College High School in Washington, DC. I'm so excited to be a part of my school's SOY team this year, Cadets for a Cure. Ever since my swim team hosted a Swim-A-Thon benefitting this powerful organization a few years ago, LLS has always been on my mind. With grandparents and kids from my community that have fought cancer, I have witnessed the unimaginable struggles that cancer can bring to patients, as well as their families and friends. With this in mind, I join this campaign so that no one has to face cancer and all of its burdens alone, especially during this time of chaos and uncertainty.
