When I decided to participate in the LLS STUDENTS OFTHE YEAR fundraiser, I didn't know how many of my friends and relatives had fought against or died of cancer. They all suffered from different types of cancer, including Leukemia. My great grandmother, whom my mother had a very close relationship with, had Leukemia and was taken from us at a young age. I wish I had the opportunity to meet her. Together we can help end the suffering as well as prevent others from being robbed of the opportunity to spend time with their relatives and friends.
