Hi! My name is Catherine Chmura. I am a junior at Justice High School in Falls Church, Virginia. I am a scholar athlete and play varsity field hockey and soccer for the school. I am also a member of the Spanish and National Honor Societies. I am the president of Justice High School’s Best Buddies and have been volunteering with this organization for the past 3 years. In addition, I volunteer for Decorate-A-Vet, Beechtree 5k and Fun Fair as well as wreath and flag laying events. I am fundraising for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society (LLS) to help find a cure for cancer.  I am doing this campaign in honor of my family and friends who have suffered with blood cancers and to help ensure that others do not have to go through the same.

I am honored to be a team member for Justice High School’s SOY team Justice for a Cure for the second year, I am so excited!!  I am asking for YOUR help. Please consider donating to my fundraising campaign so we can help find a cure for blood cancer and support those who need help financially while fighting blood cancer. As we continue through this pandemic, LLS is helping to fund research for a COVID vaccine for cancer patients. Many patients fighting cancer can’t take the vaccine others are being given, so a lot of money and time has to go towards COVID research involving cancer patients.
