My name is Alexander Bonham and I am a sophomore at The Bullis School in Potomac, MD. This year I was nominated to be a team member and assist my team "Fight 4 a Cure" in achieving our goal of raising $210,000 in order to help fund research for a cure to cancer. My personal goal for these next few weeks is to raise around $5,000 and hopefulyl a lot more so that I can help with finding a cure to this disease. To me, it is important to raise as much money as possible throughout the next 7 weeks because everyone in one way or another has been either directly or indirectly affected by cancer at one point in their life. This year I decided to participate in the LLS campaign in honor of my great Grandfather who I often hear so much about, and how Leukemia took him away from me before I was ever able to meet him. I am participating in this fight against cancer to make sure that people will get to see their loved ones throughout their lives and so that people's times with one another won't be cut short when there could be a solution.
